What’s New at the Beaver Barracks?

June 15th to 30th update

 

There are always lots of new and exciting things going on at the construction site. Here’s what’s in store for the next two weeks:

 

·    Framing of the Stacked Townhouses has begun!

·    Once the new Catherine building is out of the ground, and the 2nd and 3rd floors are being poured, there will be a green curtain put up in order to protect the west side of the Metcalfe building from debris.

·    We have created an asphalt sidewalk on the South side of Catherine Street because the North side of the sidewalk will be closed for the duration of construction.

·    Summer is here!  We are happy to say that the exterior landscaping is in progress.

·    We are working with the city to have a loading area installed at the corner of Victory Gardens Private and Argyle Avenue, in front of 160 Argyle.

We own and operate 48 properties in Ottawa that provide over two-thousand residents with quality affordable housing. Beaver Barracks will be our 49th property, adding more than two-hundred new homes to our portfolio.

CCOC is directed and controlled by volunteers and tenants. Our mission is to maintain and promote housing for low and moderate income people. We believe that everyone should have control over their housing.
